Aim & Scope

The journal aims to promote high-quality scholarly research in Islamic studies with a particular focus on the historical, theological, and cultural heritage of Islam in Central Asia. It provides a platform for interdisciplinary dialogue among researchers, academics, and practitioners in the following fields:

• Islamic theology (kalam) and Maturidi thought
• Quranic studies and Hadith sciences
• Islamic jurisprudence (fiqh) and legal theory (usul al-fiqh)
• History of Islam in Central Asia and Uzbekistan
• Islamic philosophy, ethics, and mysticism (tasawwuf)
• Islamic manuscripts, textual criticism, and codicology
• Interfaith dialogue and contemporary religious studies
• Islamic education, institutions, and waqf studies

Peer Review Process

All submitted manuscripts undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process. Each submission is evaluated by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field. The review process typically takes 4–6 weeks. The journal follows the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE).

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports greater global exchange of knowledge. All articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Publication Frequency

The journal is published quarterly (4 issues per year): March, June, September, and December.
